Hi ! Welcome to "Express Eczema"

My name is Shreya Shah. I am seventeen years old. I am currently studying in Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. I have suffered from eczema for a very long time. Until the age of thirteen my eczema was mild and it didn’t affect my life much. Since 2004, frantic construction activity in the area where I live has affected me adversely. I have developed an allergy to dust and pollution, since then life has been tough. Now, living in Mumbai is difficult for me. I have frequent flare-ups. I have given up foods and sports I love. I know how miserable it can sometimes feel to have eczema. Over the years, I have realized that the best way to deal with eczema is to understand it, and learn how to manage it.

Express your Eczema

Eczema affects many people. In fact, about 20% of the world population suffers from some type of eczema or the other,only the period of suffering and intensity differ. Environmental pollution worsens the lives of many eczema sufferers. By expressing, themselves young eczema sufferers can contribute to creating awareness about effective eczema management and the effects of environmental pollution on human health. 

Express Eczema, is a non government organisation. Its aim is to provide emotional support to young eczema sufferers and spread awareness about eczema care and management.
